Invisalign®

We can undertake your orthodontic treatment using fixed and myofunctional appliances. However, an excellent alternative, to these traditional methods, is the Invisalign® technique. Invisalign® can be used for teenagers and adults but not all cases can be treated with this system. In such circumstances an alternative can be proposed and discussed.

Anthony has a special interest in, and is an experienced practitioner of, the Invisalign® technique. With this type of treatment extractions are often not required. There are no wires, metal brackets or bulky braces. Invisalign® uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-moulded to fit you. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you'll be proud of.

The advantages of Invisalign® are that no one need know you are having orthodontic treatment, as they are almost invisible and the aligners can be removed to eat and to clean your teeth, so there are no oral hygiene problems. The aligners are changed every 2 weeks and the movements of the teeth with each aligner are gradual. As there are no metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth they are much more comfortable than traditional treatments.

Another advantage is that the Invisalign® software allows you to see your proposed orthodontic treatment plan on a computer screen. As a result, you can have a chance to help design your own smile, make changes, and decide what you truly want to look like. We can even estimate to the nearest week exactly when your treatment will be complete and you can see what your smile will be like for that forthcoming important function or event.
